Chelan County PUD No. 1
This high-profile project for an existing 40-acre community park encompassed a complete redevelopment of the existing waterfront. Renovation was stimulated by FERC permitting requirements for the Rocky Reach Dam Pool located on the Columbia River and operated by Chelan PUD.
Design included tent and RV camping facilities, dump station, boat launch improvements, boat trailer parking and access; swimming area, roadway system fencing, improved highway access, retaining walls, designated parking with ADA access, waterfront trail, park planting and irrigation improvements, comfort stations, improved day use picnic facilities, water access, playground; informational kiosks; utilities, and illumination. Site included art sculptures and interpretive signage—with a prominent metal sculpture honoring Chief Chilcosahaskt.
For this $7.3 million project, Pacific Engineering provided site planning and development, permitting assistance, civil and structural engineering, construction documents, bid support, construction management support and inspection, quality assurance and quality control, and as-built drawings. We performed coordination support for the project's design team of architects, artists, permitting specialists and multiple agencies to ensure proper conformance with codes and jurisdictional requirements.
